Vintage teapot in grit ironstone or redware with floral band over blue ground glaze

• Imposing bulbous shape with straight neck and an arts and crafts style floral band over blue ground glaze.
• Classic Gibsons handle and lid shape, so although there is no makers mark I believe this is probably a Gibsons teapot
• 6.5-inch tall and 9.75-inch wide from spout to handle
• Marked 3589 by decorator in gilt on base, no factory stamp
• Large 2 pint period Gibsons teapot
• Deep round lid retainer
• Burnished gilt around spout and handle base, glazed brown interior and base
• We can not find any matches for this design suggesting it was only made for a short period in low volume
