Colclough Avon china was produced from the 1950's up to 1997. The pattern number for Colclough Avon bone china is 8656. The Colclough Avon pattern china is very distinctive as it has an elegant leaf design in shades of brown, soft orange and apricot on pure white bone china with small blue /grey flowers. 

The rims and handles on Colclough Avon china are gilded and the handles are very pretty shape. The autumn leaves pattern makes it a very good autumn tea set or dinner service and is ideal for an vintage style autumn wedding or tea party. 

Colclough Avon china was manufactured in the Staffordshire Potteries in England. the majority of Avon Colclough was made during the Royal Doulton period of management of the Colclough brand. Only a few pieces carry the AVON name or pattern number 8656, but all Avon should have the Colclough made in England factory marks.

A small amount of Avon was also produced with Colclough Royal Albert factory marks during the 1990s.
