Ridgway Dessert Plates pattern 895 Chinoise Flowers in Censer

A pair of Regency period Ridgway desert plates in pattern 895

• 8-inch diameter dessert plate
• Green and black floral design with butterfly with grape vine moulded border detail and thick inner rim gilt
• Made by Ridgway around 1820
• Fine glaze crazing and staining on one plate surface. The other plate has a star burst crack stable on the surface and moderate gilt ware.
• Rich textured hand applied enamels.
• These plates would have formed part of a dessert service.
