• The  base has a pattern of acorns and acorn leaves above scenes on the water with boats sailing and buildings in the background
• The lid continues the theme, depicting a people watching the ships coming into dock or leaving with their wares
  
• Lid is 10.5-inch diameter on top, 8-3/8th-Inch diameter twin handled tureen on a 9-Inche diameter base plate, 13-inch wide between the handles
• The Historic America series was first manufactured in the 1930s up until the 1970s
