• During the 1960s many factories copied the Royal Albert Old Country Roses pattern due to its popularity, leading the Royal Albert copyrighting the pattern in 1972
  
• These copies date from the 1960s and were produced in Staffordshire by H Aynsley Potteries
• They are difficult to tell apart from the original Royal Albert but the rose garland is not as fine or rich in tone and the ribbing on the rims is slightly rotated
• 9-3/8th-inch diameter dinner plate with scalloped rim
• Very good condition with very little ware but subject to fine glaze crazing
