• Woods Westover pattern
• Beautiful design which includes people on bridges, pagodas and swallows, perhaps a nod to the Willow and Alva patterns.
• Blue transferware with hand-applied ocre enamel and ocre rims
• This consists of a rectangle plate and a wedge shape lid with a handle and the Westover pattern decorating it
• Plate - 7-7/8th-Inch long, 6-3/7th-Inch wide
• Cover - 5.75-Inch long, 4.25-Inch wide, 2.75-Inch tall at high end, 4-Inch with handle, 1-3/8th-Inch at sloped end
• Pattern was registered in 1928 (No.737159) but began production in the early 20s
• The stamp may show DBC which actually is the retailer whom the piece was made for
• Some marks from production in line with age
• Very good condition
