• 3-1/8th-inch square rim fine porcelain china teacup with transverse rib molding and offset split top handle
• 2.5-inches tall
• Fine scalloped rim 2.5-inch tall high waisted with hand applied colours
• 5-3/8th-inch diameter squared plain rim saucer with ribbing and quarter panels
• 6-inch squared side plate with quarter molding and transverse ribbing
• All hand coloured and impress marked S & P Rd No 170842
• Skelson & Plane operted from 1868 and 1892 and the Rd No is registered to 1892
• Manufactured at the Newmarket Works Market Street Longton
• This is a rare example of the finely decorated porcelain china produced by Skelson & Plant
• The Victorian style floral decoration features arched floral blossoms emphasised by the rib molding and gilt detailing
