Sampson Smith began producing Earthenware in 1846 and moved to Bone China in the 1920s making this an early example of his work in this area.
This milk jug is white with a thin black line around the top rim. A decorative border of blue and white stripes, between black lines and finished with pink flowers with green leaves for a beautiful touch of colour give this piece a striking look. The handle is also black and white.
This rare pattern was produced between 1925-1930
