Manufactured at the Bedford Works Shelton Hanley Stoke on Trent
Hawthornden pattern was registered by Ridgway, Sparkes & Ridgway in 1880, making this a rare early example. The pattern would later be the inspiration for Burleigh Calico
Rich and Soft Cobalt Blue Cherry Blossom on a classic Ridgway rounded platter with real weight and a wonderful feel.
The lower rim shows signs of having been in a wire wall rack at some time in the past.
12-1/8th-inch long by 9.5-inch wide rising to 1.25-inches tall at the rims
