A fine Early 19th Century Antique English Victorian Blue and White Transfer Pottery Serving Dish or Platter,
- 14.75-inch oval rectangular platter in a medium blue palette with the perennially popular “Wild Rose” pattern.
- Central panel decoration of Nuneham Park, the seat of Earl Harcourt to the left and a riverside cottage and two punts in the foreground, is based upon an engraving by W. Cooke after a drawing by S. Owen
- Manufactured without factory markings in Staffordshire but likely to be Ridgway
- Date range 1830-1860
- Rare early Blue and white ironstone china with superb patina and uneven borders. Lovely colour. One of the nicest examples we have seen recently.
