A fine Early 19th Century Antique English Pearlware Blue and White Wild Rose Dinner Plate
- 9.25-inch small dinner plate in Nuneham park wild rose pearlware china
- Transfer printed in a medium blue palette with the perennially popular “Wild Rose” pattern.
- Central panel decoration of the Park and Nuneham Courtenay Oxfordshire, the seat of Earl Harcourt to the left and a riverside cottage and two punts in the foreground, is based upon an engraving by W. Cooke after a drawing by S. Owen
- Manufactured without factory markings in Staffordshire but likely to be Ridgway The inner and outer rim linage design matches Ridgway block prints from the period. Nuneham Park was also produced by Joseph Clementson (who apprenticed with Ridgway) and John Meir
- Date range 1830-1860
- Rare early Blue and white wild rose china with superb patina and uneven borders. Lovely colour.
- A gorgeous piece of old blue and white pearlware for collectors
- I have a matching Nuneham Park Ridgway serving platter on catalog
- Please note the 9 in black marker on the rear is removeable
