Superb Antique blue and white china Albion pattern large platter by J Wood.

• 16-inch by 12.75 inch Antique Albion pattern Platter
• Date range 1860-1877
• Made at the Stepney bank Pottery Newcastle upon Tyne
• This is a rare Earthenware platter and may have been originally fired by S ewell and Company at the St Anthony's pottery
  
• No factory stamps or impress marks but the outer rim banding is distinctive for the Albion design being produced on the banks of the Tyne at Ouseburn.
