A superb and rare Opaque China Oval Footed Dessert stand in Kildare 3964 pattern 

• A rare and fine 19th Century Antique Dessert Stand which would have been part of a fine table service from the mid 1850s.
  
• Date range 1850 - 1860
• Impressed Opaque and stamped C M & S with full Kildare garland marks, faux Chinese stamp and decorators 3964 in antique hand font.
• Kildare is a delicate classical floral garland transfer printed design in dark blue, on detail molded shapes and an striking turquoise green glaze around the inner rim. There is further molded detail on the rim of the base plate.
• 9.5-inch diameter Tazza, dessert or fruit stand with bowl plate decorated in an attractive cobalt blue monochrome cherry blossom decoration and fin gilt
  
• 3-1/8th-inch tall on a hollow pedestal base plate 4.75-inch diameter
• In superb antique collectors condition with two small under rim antique chips under one of the pierced handle  and the rims, see graphic neither visible from the top
  
• This Tazza stand would have formed the center decoration of a breakfast or dinner set and would have been used for presenting pastries, cakes and breads, fruits and savouries.
