English Ironstone from Adams Calyx ware range
Calyx ware was first introduced in the 1930s in all hand painted designs. Production continued up until the 1960s, with later pieces being transfer printed, this is an early piece with all hand painted decoration. It also lacks the outer rim edge decoration which was a later introduction to the pattern.
