J F Wileman formed Wileman & Company in 1872 working from the Foley China Works. Production of Wileman and Foley marked china continued to 1910 when the Shelley familly was the controlling management. Production of Shelley china continued up to 1966. Shelley is probably best known for its fine bone china “Art Deco” ware of the inter-war years and post-war fashionable tea ware.
