English Floral China Georgian (VI)

Posted by Vintage Farmhouse on

Not what most buyers consider Georgian but these wonderful evocative English floral china plates date from 1938 and 1939 when George VI was king of England.

Made by Bishop China, little is known about the manufacturer or the brand, as it does not appear to have been a registered manufacturer or pottery, likely then a registered brand of an un-recorded factory. Not to be confused with Bishop and Stonier, these pieces are all date stamped and production was for a relatively short period between 1936 and 1939
