Coalport produced some of the most iconic shaped china and these trios combine their wonderful shapes with some outstanding hand painted floral panel decoration.
Made between 1891 and 1919, we can not be more specific with the factory mark being used continuously over this period, these paper thin walled porcelain teacups rotate upwards to a sectional octagonal rim of gilt. An understated loop handle sits perfectly without detracting from the delicately painted floral art work on the outer wall. Each panel unique and individual, making every trio a unique set.
The large scallop or shell shaped saucer, again beautifully hand decorated sits on an octagonal side plate. All three pieces with green crown Coalport factory marks.
The antique patina is just perfect, the heavy glaze applied over the hand painted art is in places micro-crazed from the second firing.
