Antique blue and white china
Monday's auction brought an incredible lot of antique blue and white china into our collections. 1 lot, a total of 7 pieces all large and all in very good condition and all rather rare. Included in the lot was this massive antique blue and white Doulton china flow blue soup tureen.
The china pattern is Blue Nankin and the date is 1891-1901. Usually, pieces like this have some damage on them, base plate chips, cracks or repairs, but what was remarkable about all the pieces in this lot was the condition. All perfect antique patinas as you would hope for and not a crack on any of the pieces. remarkable considering the combined age of the lot added up to almost 800 years.
